As a Fourth Grade Teacher, Courtney George creates an engaging, student-centered classroom where curiosity is encouraged, confidence is built, and every student is supported in reaching their full potential. She partners with families to provide personalized instruction that helps students grow academically while developing the skills and independence needed for future success.

Her responsibilities include planning and delivering meaningful instruction, monitoring student progress, building strong relationships with students and families, and creating a positive learning environment where students feel safe, challenged, and excited to learn. Courtney is passionate about helping students discover their strengths while fostering a lifelong love of learning.

About

Courtney George believes some of the most rewarding moments in education come when students experience the excitement of discovering something new. She loves creating opportunities for students to explore concepts, ask thoughtful questions, and build confidence as they grow. As she joins the Colearn community, she is especially excited to partner with families to support each child's educational journey.

Courtney's passion for teaching was shaped by her own experiences as a student. Growing up as the oldest of four children and moving several times during elementary school, she experienced firsthand the academic challenges that can come with frequent transitions. Those experiences inspired her to become the kind of teacher who creates a classroom where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to learn in ways that fit their individual learning styles. She takes great pride in building an environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Courtney is committed to fostering meaningful relationships with students and families while helping every learner develop confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning.

A fun fact about Courtney is that she loves to travel and is excited to explore Monteverde, Costa Rica, this summer.
