Position Overview

Colearn Academy is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Reading Interventionist to join our dynamic team. The Reading Interventionist will provide small-group Tier 2 (predominantly) reading instruction to students twice a week, support progress monitoring, and collaborate with the Intervention Team to ensure students receive the right level of support. This position plays a key role in improving literacy outcomes and building family confidence in supporting reading development at home.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 & 3 reading intervention in small groups twice per week.

• Use evidence-based instructional practices to address students’ individual literacy needs.

• Conduct progress monitoring and maintain accurate data records.

• Collaborate with the Intervention Team to identify students for additional supports or Tier 3 referrals.

• Communicate regularly with families, offering guidance and strategies for reading at home.

• Participate in team meetings and professional development to align instruction with school-wide goals.

Qualifications

• Must reside in Arizona.

• Must have IVP Fingerprint Clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required; teaching certification preferred.

• Experience in reading intervention and knowledge of structured literacy or phonics-based approaches preferred.

• Experience in virtual instruction and comfort using online platforms (Zoom, iReady, Schoology, or similar) strongly preferred.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
