Ben is passionate about the focused, intentional work of educators partnering with parents to improve student outcomes. He values being part of a community where collaboration and shared purpose drive meaningful learning experiences for students.

He especially enjoys helping others feel confident with technology and reminding people that tech is not “magical,” but something they are fully capable of learning and mastering. Ben finds fulfillment in breaking down barriers, simplifying systems, and empowering others to do hard things with confidence.

Outside of work, Ben jokes that he once had a comically significant amount of hair.

Role

Ben serves as Director of Technology and Systems at Colearn Academy, where he supports the digital tools, platforms, and systems that keep teaching, learning, and school operations running smoothly. He is passionate about creating reliable, user-friendly systems that help educators focus on instruction and students focus on learning.

He works closely with staff to troubleshoot challenges, improve processes, and ensure technology enhances—not complicates—the learning experience. Ben is committed to making sure Colearn’s systems are accessible, efficient, and supportive for students, families, and staff alike.
