About

Jessica is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her students and their families while helping every child grow with confidence throughout the school year. She loves celebrating the progress each student makes, whether it’s mastering a new skill, reaching a personal goal, or discovering a newfound love of learning. For her, the most rewarding part of teaching is watching students move from where they started to where they never thought they could be.

She values Colearn Academy’s deeply student-centered culture and appreciates working alongside educators who are committed to helping every learner succeed. Jessica also treasures the collaborative spirit among the staff, where colleagues encourage one another, share ideas, celebrate successes, and support each other through challenges. She believes this strong sense of teamwork creates a positive environment that benefits both students and teachers.

Outside of the classroom, Jessica has a fun claim to fame: she appeared in a toddler Sing-Along video when she was in fourth grade, proudly showcasing her lip-synching skills.

Role

Ms. Cifuentes serves as Assistant Principal for grades K–8 at Colearn Academy, where she supports students, families, and teachers across the elementary and middle school programs. She is passionate about fostering a positive, student-centered learning environment and ensuring that every child is known, supported, and set up for success academically, socially, and emotionally.
