Brenna Podry is most passionate about the “lightbulb moment” in learning—when a student finally understands a difficult concept and their confidence begins to grow. She finds it incredibly rewarding to support students through that process and celebrate their academic growth along the way.

As she joins Colearn Academy, Brenna is excited to bring her passion for personalized instruction and meaningful integration of essential software and digital skills into a flexible, student-centered learning environment. She values the opportunity to contribute to a model that prioritizes creativity, engagement, and individualized student success.

Brenna’s inspiration to become a teacher comes from a lifelong love of learning and a desire to make education accessible, engaging, and impactful for every student, regardless of their starting point. She is committed to creating a classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and capable of success.

A fun fact about Brenna is that she enjoys researching and selecting the best organizational systems, especially those that help improve efficiency and structure.

Role

As a Middle School ELA and History Teacher, Brenna Podry creates an engaging and student-centered learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, build confidence, and experience those meaningful “lightbulb moments” when challenging concepts finally click. She partners closely with families to provide personalized instruction that supports each learner’s academic growth and individual needs.

Her responsibilities include planning and delivering standards-based instruction in English Language Arts and History, integrating meaningful skill development, fostering strong relationships with students and families, and supporting academic progress through feedback and assessment. Brenna is passionate about helping students grow in both confidence and capability while making learning engaging and accessible.
