About

Tara is passionate about helping students see their own value and realize that they are capable of success, even when learning feels challenging. One of her favorite parts of teaching is encouraging students to push through difficulties and discover that they can do hard things while building confidence along the way.

She is excited to be part of Colearn Academy because she has developed a strong appreciation for online teaching. She values the opportunity to build positive connections with students in a focused learning environment where she can support growth and minimize negative behaviors.

Tara was inspired to become a teacher by her 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Martha Kirk, and her 10th grade English teacher, Mrs. Janice Limbaugh, both of whom made a lasting impact on her life.

A fun fact about Tara is that she has ridden a camel.
