2026 - 2027 Assessment Schedule

Colearn Academy is committed to keeping families informed about assessments administered throughout the school year. The schedule below provides the anticipated testing windows for the 2026–2027 school year, including state-required assessments, college and career readiness assessments, and schoolwide benchmark assessments.

Assessment dates and testing windows may be updated based on guidance from the South Carolina Department of Education or other testing organizations. Families will receive additional information prior to each applicable assessment, including specific testing dates, locations, arrival times, and other important details.

Important: Because Colearn Academy is a virtual public charter school, certain state-required assessments must be completed in person at a designated testing location. Families will receive testing location information and detailed instructions prior to each applicable assessment.

Preparing for Testing

Families can help students have a successful testing experience by planning ahead. Please keep the following in mind when preparing for state and schoolwide assessments:

• Avoid scheduling doctor, dentist, therapy, or other appointments during your student's scheduled testing time whenever possible.
• Make sure your student gets a good night's sleep before testing.
• Encourage your student to eat breakfast before arriving for testing.
• Arrive at the assigned testing location on time and follow the arrival and dismissal instructions provided by Colearn Academy.
• Students may not access cell phones, smart watches, or other unauthorized electronic devices during testing.
• Follow all testing-day instructions provided by Colearn Academy, including any information about materials students should or should not bring.
• If illness or an emergency may prevent your student from attending a required testing session, contact Colearn Academy as soon as possible.
