Role

Lindsey Karlsrud serves as a Special Education Teacher at Colearn Academy, where she partners with students and families to create individualized learning experiences that empower every learner to succeed. She is passionate about helping students overcome challenges, build confidence, and discover that they are capable of achieving great things.

She works closely with families and fellow educators to provide personalized instruction and meaningful support for students with diverse learning needs. Lindsey is committed to meeting each student where they are, adapting instruction to fit their unique strengths, and creating an environment where every learner feels valued and successful.

Lindsey is passionate about helping students who learn differently gain the confidence to believe in themselves. She finds the greatest joy in witnessing the moment a student who has struggled begins to experience success and realizes what they are capable of accomplishing.

She is excited to be part of Colearn Academy because of its commitment to partnering with families and creating personalized learning experiences that meet each student where they are. Lindsey values being part of a collaborative community where teachers and parents work together to help every child thrive.

Lindsey was inspired to become a teacher by her desire to support students with diverse learning needs and make education accessible in ways that work best for each individual learner.

Outside of the classroom, Lindsey enjoys photography and especially loves capturing memories of her two sons.
