Role

Lesley Anderson serves as School Testing Coordinator at Colearn Academy, where she oversees the planning and coordination of student assessments while supporting students, families, and staff throughout the testing process. She is committed to creating a positive, organized experience that helps students feel prepared, confident, and supported.

She works closely with school leadership, teachers, and families to ensure assessments are administered smoothly and in accordance with state and school requirements. Lesley is passionate about building relationships with students and creating an environment where they feel comfortable, encouraged, and ready to do their best.

Lesley is passionate about building meaningful relationships with students, even in a virtual learning environment. She loves seeing students engage in class, participate in discussions, and help create a fun and exciting learning community.

One of the moments that reminded her why she loves working with students was watching a typically quiet student raise their hand to participate for the very first time. Seeing that student's confidence grow reinforced the importance of creating a safe, encouraging environment where every child feels comfortable sharing their voice.

Her favorite part of the Colearn community is the genuine commitment staff have to building strong connections with both students and one another. She appreciates being part of a team that works together to ensure every student feels known, supported, and valued.

Outside of work, Lesley enjoys curling up with a good mystery novel—although she admits she's a bit of a scaredy-cat when the story gets too suspenseful!
