About
Leslie loves the flexibility that Colearn Academy provides, allowing her to connect with students whether she is teaching from her home office or while traveling. She values the opportunity to create meaningful learning experiences in a virtual environment while helping students discover new passions and abilities.
One of the most rewarding moments in her teaching career was when a student shared that they had learned to love American Sign Language because Leslie made learning fun. Knowing she has helped spark a student's enthusiasm for learning is what continues to inspire her as an educator.
Leslie appreciates the collaborative culture at Colearn Academy, where every team member is willing to lend a hand, answer questions, and support one another. She values being part of a community built on kindness, teamwork, and a shared commitment to student success.
Outside of the classroom, Leslie enjoys collecting salt and pepper shakers. She has accumulated more than 300 unique sets over the years—each one a gift, and no two are alike.
